Hello Super Bees!
My name is Estefanía Rodriguez and I am super excited to be teaching fourth grade for the second year at Luella Merrett. I taught fifth grade for four years and loved it, so I know we have a fun year ahead! I was born in Mexico, and came to the United States with my family when I was seven. I love being outdoors and reading in my spare time. I especially enjoy books that explore social conditions which explains my major in sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington. For lighter reading and entertainment I love diving into the worlds of Harry Potter and Star Wars, because of that and the fact that I will be teaching fourth grade it will lead to endless “may the fourth be with you” puns!

Mi nombre es Estefanía Rodríguez y estoy encantada de enseñar cuarto grado otro año en Luella Merrett. Enseñé quinto grado durante cuatro años y me encantó, ¡así que sé que tenemos un año divertido por delante! Nací en México y vine a los Estados Unidos con mi familia cuando tenía siete años. Me encanta estar al aire libre y leer en mi tiempo libre. Disfruto especialmente los libros que exploran las condiciones sociales, lo que explica mi especialidad en sociología de la Universidad de Texas en Arlington. Para otro tipo de lectura y entretenimiento más liviano, me encanta sumergirme en los mundos de Harry Potter y Star Wars, por eso y el hecho de que estaré enseñando cuarto grado me llevará a interminables juegos de palabras de "may the fourth be with you". ¡Lo siento no lo siento!

Welcome to my classroom!
My name is Andrea Rodriguez and I am very excited to be teaching at Luella Merrit. I am a Mexican raised in the U.S. of A. I love animals and spending my time outdoors. I am a lifelong reader and a good writer which is why I went to the University of Texas at Arlington to major in English and minor in Creative Writing. My passion however, is to teach mathematics to my awesome fourth graders! I taught fifth grade in years past and third grade last year. This is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers and students. I am lucky to be along for the ride! Go super bees!🐝😊☺️
