Mrs. Mayra Covarrubias

Welcome to 3rd grade! 

Hello! I'm Ms. Covarrubias, I have been a teacher for 7 years, 5 of those here in 3rd grade! I really enjoy getting to share my love for Math and Science here at Luella Merrett . In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys! I am so excited to start off this year! This year, will look a little different then the others, but we will work just as hard to learn everything we need and more to be successful 3rd graders. 

Lets go SUPER BEES!

Mrs. Angelica Klas

My name is Angelica Klas. I graduated from Texas Woman's University. I later received my master's degree in advanced literacy from Concordia University. I have taught at Luella Merrett for 25 years. I have taught first, second, and third grade. I love to teach reading. It brings me joy to see a student get wrapped up in a book and not be able to put it down. Books are magic! I have two daughters that keep me busy with swim, dance and choir.

I’m Mrs. Sande. I’m excited to begin my 7th year in education and 3rd year at Luella Merrett Elementary! I am passionate about creating a positive classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. I look forward to helping my students grow, build confidence, and have an amazing school year! 💙🐝
