Ms. Bertha Aguilar

My name is Bertha Aguilar.  I am happy to say this is my 12th year at Luella Merrett.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington.  In my spare time I love watching my son and daughter play various sports.  I also enjoy camping, reading, traveling and exercising. I chose to become a teacher because teaching is truly a career where you can make a life-long impact in a child's life.  

Mrs. Patricia Alvarez

This is my 25th year teaching and I have taught Pre-K, Kinder, First and Second Grade. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood and Reading from Dallas Baptist University. I have a son that is a junior in high school that loves baseball. I enjoy walking, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family. I look forward to a year filled with learning and growth.

Mrs. Jennifer Westmoreland

This is my 23rd year to teach at Luella Merrett.  I have taught Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grade. I graduated from University of Texas Arlington with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have 2 children, a dog and 2 cats.  I love to spend time outside with my family and friends. 

Ms. Andrea Willson

I have been married for 31 years and have two sons and a daughter-in-law. I also have a furry, four-legged girl, Rosie.

This will be my 23rd year of teaching. I have been at Luella Merrett for 17 years, teaching Kindergarten and PreK. 

In my years teaching "littles", I have loved their excitement for school, friends, and teachers, and the look on their faces when they learn something new.  I'm hoping to keep that love of learning alive as I accept the challenge of teaching older students with this move to 4th grade. I am happy that I am familiar with many of their families and am excited to build new relationships with these students.
